Business Development Manager, North America

With Headquarters based in France to address EMEA, and offices in Singapore to address the APAC market, Secure-IC is currently in the process of opening offices in the Silicon Valley for its North American Sales and Marketing operations. Aside from identifying and developing direct relationships with select accounts in various verticals, the company is seeking a business development manager to identify, develop and execute go-to-market opportunities with commercial and government sales channels and strategic partners. Candidates must have a general background and understanding of embedded systems security technologies and/or an extensive network within the semiconductor and product OEM segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and drive new business within primary target verticals; commercial, government
  • Identify sectors and target companies within sectors to drive new deals and partnerships that deliver unique customer value
  • Define plan to enable sales in alignment with Secure-IC’s revenue goals
  • Ability to work within a multi-cultural environment, with cross-functional teams within partners and Secure-IC.
  • Responsible for setting strategy that enables North American revenue goals across cross functional organizations.
  • Drives internal consensus around Partner plan working with Sales, Marketing, Channel and Product teams.
  • Conducts strategic analysis of technology sectors, market trends and the competition in order to create new opportunities for Secure-IC.

Education, Experience & Skills Required

  • Bachelor or Masters Degree
  • 5+ years experience in Security or Semiconductor Industry, Direct or Indirect Sales (Channel / Alliances / OEM )
  • History of meeting and exceeding quota
  • Demonstrated success in conceiving, closing and operationalizing successful technology partnerships resulting in significant revenue.
  • Outstanding presentation skills as well as excellent communication skills
  • Expertise across a broad range of embedded systems technologies (ASIC, FPGA, embedded systems / SoC, storage, cloud service providers, networking, virtualization, data centers etc)
  • In depth knowledge of computer security market space
  • Highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • A demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute tasks so as to achieve goals in an innovative, fast-paced, and often high-pressure environment
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • High technical competence that includes an engineering level understanding of complex SoC designs.
  • Experience in some or all of the following areas is beneficial: ASIC, FPGA emulation/acceleration, familiarity with IP integration, IP core delivery, and handoff issues to Data, software, and/or network security; cryptography
  • Ability to work with technical writers in the production of technical documentation.
