Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) refers to new requirements in asymmetric cryptography, namely key exchange, asymmetric encryption and digital signature. In other words, the computation has to resist not only attacks from classical computers, but also from quantum computers. However, PQC are mathematical algorithms that are implemented in conventional ways (software, hardware, etc.). Therefore, the usual implementation-level attacks apply.

With this webinar, you will discover the challenges associated with implementing PQC, especially vulnerabilities related to side-channel analyses. First, the detection and prevention of leakage from conditional control-flow and from conditional access to data structures will be detailed. Second, the same methodology will be applied to data leakage in the situation where the manipulated data is randomly masked.

The webinar will demonstrate that proper implementation of PQC requires knowledge of security assessment and secure coding. Due to the wide variety of PQC algorithms and their configurations, generic methods are available. They will be presented this webinar to explain secure code evaluation and design within the framework of Catalyzr and Securyzr technologies.

There are a series of security considerations to keep in mind:

  • Constant time issues,
  • Overview of vulnerabilities,
  • Performance impact,
  • Fixing leakage tactics.

We will discuss how Post-Quantum Cryptography is more than just a shift to more secure asymmetric cryptography, it is a road to more efficient IoT. We will also look at real use cases with a verified demonstration and finish by explaining that Post-Quantum cryptography is an implementation challenge and demonstrate how Secure-IC is addressing it with its PESC approach.
