Connected objects, which have increased in numbers in recent years, now represent a major cybersecurity issue. We have moved from a world of rather basic electronics to that of the Internet of Things; of intelligent, interactive and interconnected devices.

Every domain and industry deal with connected objects, whether it is a professional level or in personal life. As technology has outpaced security and the standards that regulate them, these devices represent new entry points for cybercriminals and risks of personal, confidential and sensitive data leakage.

Awareness of the need for security in the Internet of Things and the security of connected objects have become major challenges for data protection, whether on individual, collective or global level. While for some industries, the question of risk or security threats is natural, for others that are less mature, the normative framework is critical for the deployment of connected objects and data protection.

In addition, within the Security Science Factory, Secure-IC’s internal innovation engine, our collaborators work to advance security and awareness of the challenges at stake. Considering that knowledge of potential risks is essential to securing the Internet of Things, our commitment is to sharing knowledge and our expertise with our customers and the community as a whole in order to educate, improve and create more value. That is why we are directly involved in writing security standards and more broadly in disseminating our expertise through patents, cybersecurity publications and scientific papers and conferences around the world.
