Introduce yourself

My name is Brice and I work in the Product Marketing team. I graduated from ESEO Angers with an engineering degree in embedded electronics before joining Secure-IC in 2012. I spent 7 years as Hardware Designer in the R&D Team, in which I implemented Crypto Engines. I shifted in 2019 to join the Product Marketing team, in which I take part in building a successful pre-sales process in every country we operate in.

What are the missions of your team at Secure-IC?

The Product Marketing team is a fairly young team that was created in 2018. We are involved in the pre-sales phase of our sales process, providing the Sales team with technical support in subjects like electronics, computer sciences, cryptography, etc. Our mission is to act as intermediary between the sales team and our customers. Basically, we make our products intelligible to potential customers by explaining our technologies in a popularized manner. We are also the first to identify and understand the customer’s need in order to offer them the most accurate and appropriate product for their project. We also work on defining and rolling out Secure-IC’s marketing strategy in the global Security Market.

What is the most challenging project you took part in?

One of the most challenging project I took part in, was providing a Hardware Trojan detection solution. Indeed, Trojan threats are very intrusive in consumer electronic devices and methodologies to detect them at the Silicon layer are very innovative. At Secure-IC, we are investing a lot in developing tools and equipment to meet this challenge and we aspire to become a reference in Trojan detection in our market.

What’s next for you at Secure-IC?

I hope to continue to help shape the company’s strategy for security products. With emerging markets as IoT (Internet of Things), 5G, autonomous vehicles, etc. security evolves quickly and we will face even more exciting challenges to meet customer’s needs, always being one step ahead of potential new threats. Thanks to internal mobility at Secure-IC, I have already had the opportunity to move from R&D engineering to product marketing, so I guess anything is possible for me in the future, as long as I keep evolving as fast as the market.

What is your best memory since you joined Secure-IC?

My best memory in Secure-IC is probably one of the many activities we did with colleagues out of the office such as seminars, escape games, board games, sports activities, etc. If I really had to choose, maybe I would pick Rennes’ Marathon Vert. I think it is very important to have those moments of exchange within a team, to strengthen ties and to get to know colleagues better. This has a direct impact on the atmosphere in the office, as well as on motivation and collective performance.
