Your role and responsibilities
Within the “Chip-to-Cloud” Department, we are looking for an Embedded Systems Development Engineer. Your responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to the architecture of hybrid cryptographic solutions within a hardware root of trust (RoT), such as asymmetric cryptography and post-quantum cryptography (PQC).
- Participating in the design and specification of hardware/software co-design blocks for cryptographic algorithms, taking optimization considerations into account.
- Developing and implementing hardware modules in HDL (e.g., Verilog/VHDL) and supporting software in C, as well as Python prototypes.
- Integrating hybrid cryptographic algorithms (classical + post-quantum) into secure hardware architectures.
- Performing unit tests and verification of hardware/software components to ensure robustness and compliance with requirements.
- Contributing to simulation and validation environments (test benches, co-simulation, performance measurements).
- Supporting security architecture analysis and contributing to threat modeling and the implementation of countermeasures.
- Preparing and maintaining documentation (design specifications, implementation reports, test results, user guides).
- Collaborating with senior engineers within multidisciplinary teams (hardware, software, cybersecurity).
- Following best practices in secure coding, hardware security design, and development lifecycle processes.
Education, Experience & Skills
- You hold a Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Engineering or a specialized Master’s in Embedded Systems, or an equivalent qualification
- You have proficiency in HDL languages (VHDL/Verilog), C, and Python
- You possess strong knowledge of cryptography and cybersecurity
- Ideally, you have previous significant experience in a similar role
- You demonstrate autonomy, rigor, teamwork, adaptability, and good time management skills
