Introduce yourself
My name is Lysia. I graduated in 2017 from Télécom Bretagne in Brest, where I specialized in Digital Electronics and Computer Science Engineering. Since then, I have worked in different companies in a wide range of fields such as image processing, satellite communication, automotive, etc. before joining Secure-IC.
What are the missions of your team at Secure-IC?
I am a R&D Engineer in charge of integration in Protect Business Line in the headquarters in Rennes. My main mission is to provide our customers with a SecuryzrTM (one of our products which is a complete set of robust security IPs to make devices attack-resilient) tailored to their specific requirements and those of their market. Concretely, my missions are to integrate the hardware bricks into our testable solution for the software team and to make sure that our solution is compliant with the customer’s needs and that it passes all the tests (both in simulation and on FPGA boards) to deliver it.
What is the most challenging project you took part in?
One of my most challenging projects was for a Japanese customer. Indeed, we were asked to replace the RISC-V CPU of our SecuryzrTM solution with the client’s. The customer’s core architecture was very different from ours: instruction and data memories were only accessible through the processor, instructions were 64-bit address/32-bit data instead of 32/32, etc. Therefore, our firmware code was not portable as it and many changes were done to make it compatible with both the former and new CPU.
What’s next for you in Secure-IC?
I aspire to continue working and improving our SecuryzrTM solution with new features such as a user-friendly interface to control and monitor SecuryzrTM on the cloud. I could also join another team like Threat Analysis or even Product Marketing. Internal mobility is encouraged at Secure-IC and we are supported in developing our skills.
What is your best memory since you joined Secure-IC?
I really enjoy seeing my colleagues outside of work. We go out for lunch, drinks, sports sessions, etc. What I like here is that if you want to do something, you can always find someone interested in joining you.
