In today’s interconnected world, the European Union recognizes the critical importance of cybersecurity in fostering the growth of its digital market. However, the rise of cyber-attacks, ranging from phishing to ransomware or DDOS attacks, poses significant challenges to this development. In response to this growing threat landscape, the EU has taken a step forward with the promotion of the EU Cyber Resilience Act.

The EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) is a novel regulation aimed at enhancing cybersecurity across the European digital market. At its core, this legal framework mandates that companies providing digital products on the EU market must ensure security by default and sustain the security state of their products for five years after deployment. This represents a significant shift in mindset, compelling manufacturers to prioritize security throughout a product’s lifecycle.

Secure-IC have closely monitored the development of the EU Cyber Resilience Act since its inception. As a testament to our commitment to cybersecurity, we actively participate at the annual EU Cyber Act conference, held this year in Brussels from 11 to 13 March, where we will present our latest studies in Post-Quantum Cryptography, Offensive AI and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). We firmly believe in the virtues of the CRA regulation, as it plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of the digital cybersphere.

Our belief is grounded in the understanding that security must stem from the very core of digital products, extending from silicon to comprehensive lifecycle management. It is with this philosophy in mind that Secure-IC offers a comprehensive suite of products designed to bolster cybersecurity from Chip-to-Cloud.

The EU CRA states the need for an IoT scheme to validate device’s security: The Security Evaluation Standard for IoT Platforms (SESIP), standard based in Common Criteria. Secure-IC’s products are fully compliant with Common Criteria, including CC 2022, at Evaluation Assurance Levels (EAL) up to 5+. This ensures that our solutions meet the highest standards of security and reliability. Additionally, our offerings feature capabilities such as Secure Firmware Update Over The Air (SFUOTA), enabling remote management for seamless updates and maintenance, enabling remote cybersecurity management for seamless updates and maintenance, as mandated by the EU Cyber Resilience Act

Moreover, proactive vulnerability management is at the forefront of our approach. Through our Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) service, we closely monitor published CVEs. Also, we offer to our customers a trusted Intrusion Detection System to enable them to detect and mitigate vulnerabilities in real-time.

By leveraging our cutting-edge technologies and comprehensive suite of products, Secure-IC with its flagship solution Securyzr™ empowers customers to achieve full compliance with the EU Cyber Resilience Act. Together, we are forging a path towards a safer and more resilient European digital market.
