Secure-IC is pleased to take part in CryptoIC 2026, one of the leading conferences dedicated to cryptographic chip technologies, security analysis, and secure implementation.

Bringing together researchers, industry experts, and technology leaders, CryptoIC provides a valuable platform to discuss the latest developments in hardware security and cryptographic innovation.

Spotlight on Physically Unclonable Functions (PUFs)

At this year’s event, Sylvain Guilley, CTO & Co-Founder of Secure-IC, will present a keynote entitled:

“The Journey of Physically Unclonable Functions“

Over the last two decades, Physically Unclonable Functions have evolved from academic research concepts into mature security technologies deployed in real-world applications and referenced in industry standards.

  • The keynote will explore:
  • The evolution of PUFs across Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs), from early research to operational deployments.
  • How PUFs have become key building blocks for Hardware Roots of Trust.
  • The ongoing revision of ISO/IEC 20897, the international standard dedicated to PUFs.
  • The role of stochastic modeling in predicting and evaluating critical PUF metrics such as reliability and entropy.
  • Design and validation methodologies supporting both pre-silicon and post-silicon assessments.
  • The content is based on ongoing work for an upcoming book co-authored by Sylvain Guilley, Prof. Jean-Luc Danger, and Olivier Rioul, scheduled for publication by Springer/Nature in December 2026.
